bad sub just kills anything, even you limit to below 60hz. there is NO cheap sub (<$500) produce acceptable sound.

projector is a must, you want at least 100", right : ) Screen might be expensive, but you can use goo system paint at the beginning if you did some paint job.

room HAS to be acoustic treated, or you just waste your money. simple ways like, cheap rug over the floor, thick fabric curtain (fake one is ok), home made bass trap, home made sound absorber in ceiling and walls (at least remove 1st reflection)...

建议多花些钱在音箱上，5.1就够了，没看到什么片子是7.1的。加拿大产的Paradigm音箱不错，可能超过了你的预算。Receiver中Denon和Yamaha不错，最好有dts-HD Master和Dolby TrueHD解码，不过这个价位应该听不出和普通dts或Dolby Digital的区别。地下室如果光线可完全控制，最好弄个投影，效果绝对不一样。
